Creating and Teaching About the Art of Pyrography
It’s about time for an update! What a busy year it has been, both work wise and personally. This update is long overdue, but I have much excitement to share!
First off, thank you so much to Okra. Magazine who graciously shared this article about my work in their August issue, written by the talented Deborah Burst! Thanks so much, Deb, for your creative use of language and your genuine interest in what moves me (and also for your perseverance in making the article happen at all). I feel glad to be helping to give pyrography its time to shine as an artform and to celebrate my love of nature with a wider audience.
You may have noticed I’ve been a little absent on social media this summer, and that’s because I’ve had important things to focus on at home as I have welcomed my new baby in July! She is doing great.
Some new stores have given a home to my woodburned creations in time for the holiday season. You can now find my wares in Newaygo, Michigan at Timbered Spirit and in Mars Hill, North Carolina at The Wild Violet. More stockist info is to come soon so you can plan your holiday shopping accordingly!
Hoping everyone is welcoming the Autumn season with open arms and mugs full of warm liquids!
